MEDIUM VOLTAGE ELECTRICAL

UCC is properly licensed and trained in construction, maintenance and upgrade of electrical distribution systems up to 15kV.  This includes Transformers, Sectionalizer Cabinets, Fuse Cabinets, SES’s, Main Distribution Cabinets, fuses, overhead equipment, underground equipment, primary circuits and secondary circuits.

UCC has a strong resume in the upgrade and replacement of privately owned electrical distribution systems.  Examples include Overhead to Underground conversions and replacement of aged direct bury cable.  UCC has performed design-build projects for federal agencies to convert aged and overloaded overhead electrical distribution to a new underground system.  Within the southwest, many RV Resorts / Mobile Home Parks are plagued with a deteriorated electrical infrastructure in need of upgrade and replacement.  UCC is skilled in these projects, and can prepare a work plan to best minimize disruption to the customer while promoting efficient construction activities resulting in safe and reliable power.  In many cases our Directional Boring services are instrumental to these projects.
